Charlotte County Launches New Service Request Appr

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (July 18, 2024) — Charlotte County has launched an upgraded version of the Charlotte County FL app that is now available for download from the Apple iTunes app store and the Android Google Play store. The app is full of features allowing residents to access county officials and services, report a variety of issues and locate information on the counties’ calendar and social media channels.

Users who already have the Charlotte County FL app on their phone or tablets must download the new app to submit request and report issues.

To download the app for Apple products, visit https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/citysourced/id6505121061. To download the app for Google/Android devices, visit https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citysourced.charlottecountyfl. You can also access the app on the Internet by visiting https://charlottecountyfl.citysourced.com. To submit a service request on the county’s website, visit www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov and click Contact Us on any page.

The free app was developed with Granicus, a government tech company, and allows users to take a picture or video of issues such as potholes, trash or code violations, add a message and send it directly to the proper county department. The application uses geo-location technology to automatically provide the problem’s location, simplifying the reporting process for users.

Beware of Fake Websites Imitating Official County Services

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (May 21, 2024) – The Charlotte County Community Development Department would like to inform citizens about recent attempts to create malicious websites with URLs that closely resemble the official Citizen Access Portal address. The Citizen Access Portal provides online access to the county’s permits, licenses, plans review, code violations, and site plan review system. These fraudulent sites are designed to mimic Accela products and redirect users to unauthorized locations, potentially compromising personal information.

To ensure your security and protect your personal information, please verify that you are using the correct URL when accessing the Citizen Access Portal: https://aca-prod.accela.com/BOCC/Default.aspx?culture=en-US

If you have any further questions or need assistance, you are encouraged to submit a support case through the official support portal. Please visit: https://success.accela.com/s/article/Support-Portal-Success-A-best-practice-guide-to-partnering-with-Accela-Support
